Dr. Patel talks about what we can do to prepare our patients and our practices for the possibility of more social restrictions in the fall.

The Greatest Psy-Op of All Time

We are at a point now where people are sick of talking about COVID. Since rolling back some of the authoritarian social restrictions, many of us have spent months dining out, traveling through airports, and enjoying the slow trickle of freedoms we once took for granted. And yet here we are, perfectly healthy, with nothing to show for it but division, animosity, and horror caused by half the population’s willingness to blindly obey power. Luckily, here in Denver, we have had a relatively robust amount of freedom compared to many places like San Francisco, New York, and Ontario where Dr. Patel is from. The threat of the virus is real, and there are vulnerable populations we need to approach with caution. But that does not discredit the fact that we have witnessed the most profound deception, hypocrisy, and abuse of power the world has ever seen.

Ready for Anything

The reality is that many global powers are at a standstill. Nobody sees eye-to-eye on the COVID solution, and everyone has different incentives for how that solution is carried out. This is still a prevalent issue across the globe, and it is likely going to pull us back into a series of lockdowns and social restrictions that many business owners will not be prepared for. This is as clear as day, and as functional medicine practitioners, we need to be ready to handle the ebb and flow from an entrepreneurial perspective and a medical provider perspective. In our conversation, Dr. Patel shares so many brilliant insights about how to approach these challenges, and he is a valuable resource to all.
